SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE I COME TO LOOK AT WEDDING GOWNS?
Yes, at the Royal Bridal we highly suggest making an appointment if you are coming in to look at gowns. Due to the delicate materials of our dresses, we do not allow self-service in the gown area. Appointments are not necessary for accessories, only gowns. Every bride is assigned a personal consultant that will wait on her alone. We do accommodate walk-ins but appointments are given preference. (With an appointment either a consultant is waiting for you or you will automatically be “next up”.) APPOINTMENTS ARE ALWAYS REQUIRED FOR FITTINGS.Please make an appointment by calling (630) 516-0050.

WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH WHEN I COME FOR MY WEDDING GOWN SHOPPING APPOINTMENT?
When shopping for a wedding gown all the experts advise not to bring too many people. Your mom and one or two other trusted individuals seem to be the perfect mix. Pick a few people who love you to come and your experience will be a lot more enjoyable and you will have a better chance of being successful in your quest. It’s great to have one or two people who are close to you to give you honest opinions but bringing too many people to “poll the audience” is a recipe for disaster that may make you miss out on your perfect gown. In the end, the only opinion that truly counts when picking a wedding gown is YOURS! You will be the center of attention at your wedding (no one cares how the groom looks *wink*). You want a wedding gown that will make you look gorgeous and feel amazing. You are the only one who will really know when you have found the gown that does this.

SHOULD I GET A SITTER FOR THE KIDS?
We strongly recommend you not bring children to any bridal store. Your wedding gown choice is one of the most important you will make for your wedding. For the rest of your married life you will be looking at pictures of yourself in that special gown. When shopping for that gown you need to be able to focus and concentrate without distractions. A bridal salon is not a fun place for kids and they will get bored very quickly and totally distract you from this important mission. We know because we have small children ourselves! A bridal store is also NOT a safe place for children due to loose pins and other hazards.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO TRY ON GOWNS?
You may bring a strapless bra to your consultation but it is not necessary. Please wear proper/clean undergarments (NO THONGS) because you will not be dressing alone and the gowns may not close all the way in the back. We do not recommend you wear shoes while trying on bridal gowns because the gowns are not hemmed to your height and may be a tripping hazard.

SHOULD I LOOK FOR MY WEDDING GOWN AND BRIDESMAIDS` GOWN ON SAME DAY?

Don't try to do too much in one day. We suggest you not try to shop for bridesmaids and a wedding gown all in the same day. Finding that perfect gown can be harder, more time consuming, and more mentally exhausting than you think. We suggest you focus on your wedding gown first, check out our large bridesmaids collection before you leave and plan a separate day for the bridesmaids shopping.

HOW MANY GOENS CAN/SHOULD I TRY ON?
We usually recommend trying on up to 6 - 8 gowns. Trying on too many can confuse you. After trying on 3 - 4 gowns, your consultant will have a better idea of your likes/dislikes and can start pulling out what you are looking for.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES OF THE GOWNS?
Because our gowns are from exclusive designers you are not permitted to take pictures until you purchase your gown.

WHAT SIZES ARE YOUR SAMPLES?
Most of our samples are between size 10 and size 16. If the gown is too small or too big, we can clip you to give you a general idea of what the gown will look like in your size. Please be understanding that since we are a bridal boutique and not a department store, it is impossible for us to stock every size and color.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO TRY ON GOWNS?
We generally allot about one hour for each appointment.

HOW DO I REMEMBER THE GOWNS I TRIED ON?
After each consultation, we have you fill out a customer information form in which we write down the dresses you liked, including any accessories. From this point on, we have you on file so if your consultant is not available the next time you come back, another consultant can just look at your file and know exactly which dresses you tried on and comments you’ve made.
